Our goal was to develop the perfect vario seat post. This inspired us to totally rethink the world of dropper seatposts. We have thrown away all conventional approaches and designed a dropper seat post that has never been seen before. MECHANICAL BLOCKING

The Eightpins NGS 2 seat post not only differentiates from other products on the outside, but also from the inside. Where normal oil works as a holding or adjusting medium, Eightpins has only pure mechanics under the hood. The standpipe is locked or released for lowering every 6 mm using the 8 pins of the patented “Rapid locking unit”. The seat post blocks in both directions in the selected height. Dropping and locking the seatpost is done quickly with a clear haptic feedback. The Eightpins mechanic is so stable that even 600 kg (equals 1,322 lb) load will not cause any damage.

OVERLOAD ROTATION CLUTCH

The interface of the Eightpins seat post has an integrated overload clutch. This allows for a twist of the saddle in overload situations such as crashes. The twisted saddle can then be easily turned back into the right position by hand.

CARRY LESS

We only use one single tube for the drop function and the height adjustment. This makes the Eightpins dropper seat post up to 30% lighter in average compared to other products on the market. Depending on the size of the seat post, its actual weight varies from 511gr (XS with setback) to 595gr (XL with setback).

Easy height adjustment

The saddle height of the NGS 2 is adjusted in the extended position using the patented height adjustment. The seat post is separated from the piston rod from the head by turning the actuator, enabling quick and easy adjustment. The new Postpin interface design and the grooves at the seat post end extend the travel oth the Eightpins seat post. In this way, the stroke and adjustment range can be extended enormously.

Linear Air Spring

Pressing down the saddle should be quick and easy. Low counterforce has the decisive advantage that the center of gravity is not unnecessarily shifted upwards while riding. This increases performance and safety on the trail.
