Problems with Conventional Telescopic Seatposts

  • If the tubes overlap by too little, it results in extreme leverage forces on the bushing
  • Poor-quality and undersized bushinges wear out easily
  • Worn-out bushinges create radial play and lead to self-locking
  • The seatpost becomes harder to lower and has lost its reliability
  • Thin tubes combined with long travels (200 mm+) flex backward by up to 13 mm under load
  • Noticeably elastic ride feel and altered seat angle
  • Bowden cables often get stuck during Height adjustment and become damaged
  • A tool is required for height adjustment
  • Excessive tightening torque on the Seatpost clamp causes the seatpost to jam
