Payment methods

The Eightpins seatpost needs a splash of oil every now and then. There is a reservoir inside the outer sleeve that needs to be refilled periodically. Please use only Eightpins Oil Fluid V4. Other oils can draw dirt into the system and damage the seatpost!

If you’ve been riding for an extended period without lubrication, be sure to remove the seatpost and clean or replace the Sliding bushing and the wiper.

Contact your bicycle dealer with your proof of purchase. They will perform an initial troubleshooting analysis and, if necessary, contact our service team in Austria.

We provide a statutory warranty of 24 months on all Eightpins seatposts, effective from the date of purchase, which must be verified by a proof of purchase. 

The warranty is limited to repair or replacement.

Normal wear and tear, routine maintenance, and improper installation or use of the seatpost are excluded from the warranty.

All moving parts of the mechanism and the Gas spring are Wear parts and are not covered by the warranty.

The warranty claim is contingent upon the product being used as intended.

Warning: Any modifications to the seatpost will void the warranty. The user assumes all risk of personal injury or property damage, including damage to the seatpost and any other damage resulting from modifications to or improper use of the seatpost.

To assert warranty rights, all instructions regarding installation, handling, and Maintenance in the user manual must have been followed. The product must not have been modified or used in combination with incompatible parts or non-genuine Eightpins replacement or Wear parts.

First, we need to clarify what kind of wobble we're talking about.

1. The seatpost rotates 2–3° to the left and right:

The Postpin is likely loose or needs to be adjusted. Please read here to learn how to properly adjust and tighten the Postpin: Postpin Instructions

If it’s tight, the brass guides may have come loose.

2. The seatpost wobbles back and forth:

The slide bushing guide will always have a slight amount of play; otherwise, the seatpost wouldn’t be able to move.

If there is too much play, it may be that the manufacturing tolerances of the seat tube’s inner diameter are too large, causing the slide bushing to have play within the Frame. This is more of a cosmetic issue than a technical one, since with Eightpins the distance between the bearings is large enough to prevent jamming.
